LAURA JOHNSON: Distributor in Grand Rapids, Michigan

“Laura joined Shaklee in 2010. She was very hesitant at first. Her nursing background made her skeptical of supplements and so she looked into Shaklee 3 different times before she became a Member. It was the Science and Quality Control that sold her. At that time, Laura was a single mother and it seemed like every illness that her daughter was exposed to at school made its way home with her. Laura was looking for a way to improve not only her own health but also the health of her family. Shaklee gave her that opportunity. She started with Optiflora and Vita-Lea and soon noticed that illnesses ‘stopped’ coming home from school. Laura then took the plunge and became a Distributer. Since then, her entire life has turned around because of Shaklee’s influence.

In 2011, Laura and Mark married. Their combined family includes 7 children! Mark started taking Vita-Lea and noticed fairly soon that his allergies were no longer bothersome.  And in fact, by adding Alfalfa to his daily regimen and switching to Shaklee household and laundry cleaners… the allergies pretty much disappeared.

That summer Laura rode in her first organized bicycle event to raise money for breast cancer research. This “fun ride” was 10 miles long.  (Prior to this Laura had only done recreational bicycling.)  Laura rode with fierce determination, especially on the last hill at mile 9. This was not simply a “fun ride” … this was a way to prove to herself that she could not only do it but also succeed at it.  Laura came in first and therefore first in her age group! And guess who came along for the ride? Shaklee of course.

In 2013, Laura had a significant auto accident. While recuperating (and taking Shaklee supplements!), she added Vivix to her regimen. She had noticed that when she attempted to ride her bicycle again, she couldn’t do so without pain. Within 3 months of adding Vivix, she was not only back on the bike but was riding long distances again. That summer, Laura also had the opportunity to travel to Italy with her daughter and ex-husband on a school choir trip. Laura made certain they all had a Shaklee ‘Strip’ with breakfast! In Laura’s mind, no one had time to be ill on that trip!

In 2016, Laura rode in her first long-distance ride (36 miles) and then did it again in 2017, beating her previous time. She also completed a 52 mile ride, solo, just to say she did it! Laura can now say she has ridden past a State Prison Facility!

Laura and Mark attended their first Shaklee Global Conference in 2016. It made such an impression that they signed up for the Conference in 2017.  It was at the 2017 Conference that Laura had her “breakthrough” moment! She and Mark decided it was time to take the distributorship to the next level – the goal was now Director! Laura knew that Shaklee products were tested thoroughly and had proven results.  Her belief had also moved to the next level and now was the time to shine and share.

Upon returning from the Conference, Laura immediately began to share Youth Skin Care at the monthly Vendor Night of a local boutique. She’s had Facebook Events sharing all the goodness of Shaklee with her participants and watched her membership grow. Laura is embracing the use of Facebook Live video to share her thoughts and words of encouragement regarding health and wellness. Laura and her upline, Phyllis, are planning a LYL event on January 6^th and more Facebook events for 2018.  Laura is already planning more long-distance bike rides (powered by Shaklee) and another Shaklee Global Conference including zip-lining in Las Vegas!”

Laura is going to own her 2018! It’s also her birthday so we can’t wait for all the celebrating for her to come. And we’ll see her on the zip line next summer!
