JIM & THEOLA SWEENEY: COORDINATORS in Kingston, Massachusetts

“My Shaklee story begins 38 years ago when Jim and I were just married and new to living in Colorado. I was working as a NATA certified Athletic Trainer in Denver. Jim was in the computer industry and on one of his sales calls he went into a ‘Shaklee center’ (which in those days was like a little store where several sales leaders shared space to keep their inventory and people would pick up their products). Jim sat down and heard the Shaklee opportunity that day.

We made a big move back east and as our family grew with 3 kids, we made the decision for me to focus on building our Shaklee business and work from home. I was able to be the ‘room mom’, the car pool driver (in my Shaklee van) and the house where all the kids loved to be in our neighborhood. I didn’t miss a moment of fun with my kids when they were little and got paid at the same time! Our youngest had some health challenges which took a great deal of time but he has thrived and I believe Shaklee was a blessing in our lives to help him.

Over the years we have earned several perks such as expense paid trips to places like Rome, Puerto Rico, Atlantis, Mexico, driven several bonus cars and had so many blessings along the way. I am now looking at my ‘why’ in a different way- for me it was always for raising my kids but now I am focusing on Shaklee as a retirement vehicle and a legacy for our children. But even more important I am continuing my Shaklee journey for me. I treasure the self-improvement that Shaklee makes us go through. It sometimes is tough, but it makes us stronger. I love the self-growth of ‘working on myself’ and learning the many leadership skills that are so important in this business. I am encouraged by the supportive community in the Shaklee field, and I am focusing now on working with our team, re-building our base group memberships and reconnecting with them, and looking for our next Directors. Can’t wait for the Global Conference in Las Vegas – the best part of Shaklee is that there is always something exciting coming our way next!”

Theola has such a positive attitude heading into Las Vegas she is bound to come away with many gems for her personal growth journey! Global Conference gives all of us a chance to press the refresh button and begin again.
