“Peter and Kerry Steeg had a dream to be their own boss, so, when the opportunity to purchase a dog kennel business came up, they sold their home and property and purchased their new business. It wasn’t long before they discovered that just getting into any business was not always the best answer … especially during times of economic recession, which had begun shortly after their purchase. They were forced to lay-off several of their employees. Now they were working 7 days a week, 10 to 14 hours a day. Although they were self-employed they had no time freedom and were up to their ears in debt. The stress of it all was crushing them. Little did they know that Providence was about to shine the light of good fortune on them and they were introduced to their upline, Rick and Jo Tonita by Kerry’s sister.

Kerry started getting great results with her allergies from Shaklee products and they decided to go full ahead with the business. Within 3 years they had already received their 1st bonus car and were being sent on Shaklee incentive trips. Over the years it has turned out to be one of the best decisions they ever made.

Their son, Jody, started his own business when he was 18. After a few start and stops, he re-launched in 2005 and became a Director using a website he’d built. That grew into the educational marketing system known as ‘Your Freedom Project’ and he now focuses on helping other Distributors solve the same challenges he ran into trying to build a business using the internet.”

Jody is a familiar “next generation” face to many in the Shaklee Field because of Your Freedom Project. And his family is one of our long standing, cherished Leaders in our neighbor to the north, Canada.
